Movie: Flawless

In Uncategorized on June 25, 2008 at 3:51 pm

We watched "Flawless" day before yesterday. Needless to say, the cast drew us in, which includes Sir. Michael Caine, Demi Moore…among many.
A "heist" movie…with a daring plot involving stealing "Diamonds" from the world’s biggest company, without use of guns, dynamite, or foul language….sheer brilliance….
The plot is not so very innovative, employee with grudges…plot to steal from their employers…for their personal gain.
However, how its carried out is worth watching, there is moment in the movie, when you are on the edge of your seat, seeing, what the character of Michael Caine has achieved…..and the smile on his face doing it…is priceless.
Demi Moore, has acted well as an american in the 1960’s London, trying to make something for herself in the male domintated society. However, shows some of the frailities of the character and her personal boundaries on acting….
Good Movie. Worth a watch, if you’re in a mood for a "Heist" movie.

Movie: Definitely Maybe

In Uncategorized on June 25, 2008 at 3:40 pm

We watched "Definitely Maybe" last night. Good movie, with a nice concept, however the "Frank dialogue’s" at the start of the movie (associated with sexual intercourse and sex education) are definitely not suitable for younger audience (kids), they are humorous at best, delivered very innocently by Abigail Breslin, who in my opinion is one of the most talented child artist of our times, possibly a Shirley Temple in the making.
The storyline is nothing new, but the delivery is very interesting and kept us involved at all times. It was also good to see Ryan Reynolds act in a movie like this, which is definitely, miles away from his previous work, which can be classified as "poor" at its best. However, he has done well in this one (though, dont push your luck for Oscars or anything!".
A feel-good movie, not a must watch, but a good one if you have nothing else to do.
Ciao. Till the next one….
