Movie: 21

In Uncategorized on July 23, 2008 at 6:07 pm

We watched this movie last night. I’ve always been a sucker for movies that have their main characters as "Geniuses" and there is some crime involved.
This movie revolved around a MIT Graduate who wants to go to Harvard Med School, but wont make it without the prestigious scholarship, which he might not get.
So, being a genius, he is spotted by one of his professor, who secretly heads a group of people, who "Count Cards" to win money at Blackjack, in Vegas casinos.
Nice movie, with predictable plot and a good ending.
Worth a Watch.

Movie: Drillbit Taylor

In Uncategorized on July 22, 2008 at 2:12 pm

We watched "Drillbit Taylor" this past Saturday. Well, we had nothing to do, and had this movie lying around for a while.
This was an average movie, with an ordinary storyline, with good performances from Owen Wilson, he’s always good.
Not recommended.

Movie: Vantage Point

In Uncategorized on July 10, 2008 at 3:00 pm

We, Nidhi, Nikhil & I watched Vantage Point last night. The plot of the story is not very creative, same old same old, plot of kidnapping the President of the "Free World", with the involvement of his own bodyguards.
However, the interesting aspect of the movie is its presentation of the story, which brings back memories of watching "Memento" for the first time. Which was a breakthrough at the time.
This movie portrays the events of the storyline, by different viewpoints, of different characters at the same time….
One of good clips of the movie is the car chase scene, which is filmed quite well, does not come close to Ronin or Jason Bourne though.
Not a compelling movie to watch, but as usual, if you have nothing better to do.
Tonight we’ll watch "Drillbit Taylor", will post my review tomorrow.
