Movie: The Lords of Dogtown

Watched this movie yesterday. I bought the DVD, since it was going cheap ($3).
I remembered the movie, when it was released in 2005, but never got to watch it then.
This is the story of “Z-Boys” from Venice, California. The hottest skateboarders in 1980s, who overcame personal obstacles to achieve success and greatness, in the minds of their fans. Emile Hirsch and Heath Ledger acted very well, other were so-so. The story line is plain ok.
Not a recommendation.

Hindi Movie: God Tussi Great Ho

Genre: Bollywood Flick

Starrring: Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Sohail Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
We watched this movie last night. As most bollywood flicks, this was a no brainer, a twisted tale, based on the hollywood release, “Bruce Almighty”, starring legendary Jim Carey.
Obviously, the original story had to be overhauled, and adapted for indian audience, keeping the same framework of the original.
Songs which are sometimes worth watching, were’nt any great either.
Total timepass, or as my wife puts it, a Laundry Movie…..nothing less nothing more….

The Net 2.0

Starrring: Nicky Deloach

Directed by : Rob Cowan
This movie was supposedly a sequel to The Net, starring Sandra Bullock and Matthew McCanaughey, which was a great movie. However, the only interesting part is the beautiful main character, Sarah (played by Nicky Deloach), who gets entangled into a web of internet theft of 14 millions dollars from russian mob…
Nothing great, dont watch, unless this is the last option, or you just wanna look at a pretty face.
